Garfield!!!

He's the oddest combination a cat could ever be. He loves lasagna, hates Mondays, whacks spiders, guzzles coffee, and kicks dogs. He's Garfield, the funniest feline the world's ever seen.

Garfield was born in the kitchen of Mama Leone's Italian restaurant in 1978.

He was then sold to a petshop where Jon Arbuckle purchased him. Since then,he simply grew larger. His favourite food is, well, just about anything except raisins. His favourite hobbies are to eat and sleep. Here is what he enjoys doing:

- eat

- sleep

- watch TV

- bite the mailman

- play with Pooky (his favourite teddy bear)

- sing and do stand up comedy on the fence

- send Nermal to Abu Dhabi

- pretend to be the Caped Avenger

- kick Odie off the table

- wake up Jon

So what makes this cat so popular? Simply because people can relate to him. He loves TV and abhors Mondays. He prefers to pig out than to work out. He'd like mornings better if they started later and he believes that coffee is the only way to start the day.

However, Garfield is not all ego, he has a soft side too. He loves his teddy bear, Pooky and really, deep down, (really deep down) he loves Jon and Odie. As the Official Garfield Website says it, "Garfield is a classic and classics are always in style".

Jon Arbuckle!

Jon Arbuckle is supposed to have been born on December 23rd, 1950 to Mr.and Mrs. Arbuckle. He was born and raised on a farm with one brother, Doc Boy. He went to college for a few years, to become an unsuccessful cartoonist. In 1978 he wanted a pet and was debating over getting an iguana or a cat. Finally, he chose Garfield, the cat.Jon Arbuckle has a very hard time getting a date. This is probably because of his unusual passtimes. He likes to:

-collect lint and earwax

-enjoys breathing

-tape his lips together

-play chess by mail

-tape ice cubes to his body

-where bunny pyjamas and slippers

-polka

-let the lawn mower chase him

-thinks fingers are amazing

-watch the show "Bowling for Geeks"

-visit the Nerd Hall of Fame

-collect stamps

- sort his socks

As you can see, Jon Arbuckle is a very odd person.

Odie!!!

Odie first met Garfield on August 8th, 1978. Garfield's reaction of him was probably,

"What did I do to deserve this?". Odie wasn't originally Jon's dog. He was owned by Jon's friend Lyman, who had dropped in unannounced and uninvited and stayed for a few weeks. Much to Garfield's horror, when Lyman left he forgot to take Odie.

Odie is a loving and extremely happy dog. He is continuously wagging his tail,drooling, and panting. He chases his tail and runs after cars. He is terribly uncoordinated. Garfield abuses Odie a lot. He ties his ears in a bow under his chin,stuffs his nose into his mouth, and a daily custom is to kick Odie off the table. The odd thing is that Odie never seems to remember all these things the next day.

According to Garfield, Odie is so dumb, it took him three years to learn how to breathe, his IQ is so low you can't test it, and that Odie was born to be a paperweight or a doorstop.

Odie is a special dog. He's lovable, loyal, and friendly. Although Garfield would seldom admit it,

Odie is Garfield's best friend.

This is Pooky ; Garfield's fave teddy bear. Cute huh.

Please don't call call Nermal a girl. Nermal is a HE !! =)

Poor Mr Mailman , he is alway the target of Garfield's attack.

This is Arlene , Garfield's Girlfriend. Garfield and Arlene would have gotten married if it wasn't for the fact that Garfield is so in love with himself.
